When the SALZ 2026 event set out to unite technology, business, and startups across two action-packed days, the stakes were high. With an expo, a stage, and matchmaking on day one (SALZ), followed by walk-and-talks on day two (SALZ City), the event was designed to turn ideas into real projects and actively shape the future.
Featuring 63 speakers, engaging workshops, and over 40 exhibitors in a full expo hall, SALZ 2026 attracted nearly 1,200 attendees. To ensure everything ran smoothly, especially check-in and matchmaking, two b2match event experts, Ema and Anamarija, were on-site to help.
Setting the stage for a smooth start.
The SALZ 2026 event lasted two days, but Ema and Anamarija arrived a day early. Their mission? Set up the label printers, onboard the team, and make sure the next morning’s check-in would happen without never-ending queues.
During the preparation day, they trained the event hostesses on how to use b2match Entrance, our check-in app that scans participants' QR code and automatically prints labels in just 3 seconds. They also set up and tested the label printers, ensuring that every attendee would receive their labeled badge instantly upon arrival.

In addition, Ema and Anamarija coached a dedicated hostess responsible for matchmaking, sharing practical tips on how to manage a bustling, high-energy networking environment on the event day.
A mobile app that completely changed the participants’ experience.
Many attendees used the b2match mobile event app, and quickly discovered how practical it was to have it downloaded before stepping into the venue. The QR code for check-in, accessible directly from the app, greatly simplified and accelerated the entry process.
But the app’s real power emerged during the event itself.
When a participant was late to a scheduled meeting, their partner simply sent a quick message through the app to confirm whether the meeting would still happen or if they should reschedule. That small action made all the difference. Instead of waiting around, participants could listen to a keynote or visit exhibitor booths, knowing they could reconnect anytime.
The venue was busy: speakers on stage, exhibitors presenting, multiple sessions running in parallel. But none of that disrupted the matchmaking. In fact, it enriched the experience: attendees engaged with the event while staying connected to potential partners.

Self-registration and spontaneous connections.
For last-minute attendees who registered on the day, a self-registration booth made onboarding effortless. They filled out the form on the b2match platform on the spot, received a QR code in the app, and got their lanyards and badges from organizers with a quick scan. Then, attendees could browse the agenda, see what was happening where, and even book last-minute meetings.
If no time slot was available, they simply messaged potential partners through the app and agreed to meet at a booth. The result? Connections that might never have happened became real conversations.
Organic networking that outshined booked meetings.
While SALZ 2026 focused on knowledge sharing and industry insights, matchmaking remained a vital part of the conference. Attendees showed remarkable engagement with the platform—not just for booked meetings, but for organic, self-driven networking that fosters business partnerships long after the event ends.
The numbers tell the story: 220 officially booked meetings versus 1,473 exchanged messages through the b2match platform. Most matchmaking happened naturally, with attendees messaging first on the app, then meeting at an exhibitor booth or elsewhere in the venue.

Real-time communication—with expert help.
The app also proved invaluable for last-minute changes. Organizers needed to communicate an urgent update to all participants but were overwhelmed with other tasks.
That’s when Ema and Anamarija stepped in. They suggested sending a push notification through the b2match platform, reaching everyone with the app or any device instantly. What could have been a headache for the organizer became a calm, efficient solution.
This is exactly why having b2match experts on-site transforms organizer ideas into reality.
A partnership that delivers peace of mind.
From seamless check-in and spontaneous matchmaking to crisis communication and on-the-ground support, b2match helped SALZ 2026 run like clockwork. The result was a connected, engaged community that kept collaborating long after the venue lights went out.
With b2match, even the busiest conferences can be efficient while keeping the attendees actually connected.
