Open4Business: Empowering MSMEs in the Western Balkans - Pathways to the EU

About this event

The European Commission, Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST) in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) and Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF) organizes the regional event “Open4Business: Empowering MSMEs in the Western Balkans - Pathways to the EU” taking place on 9 April 2025 in Belgrade, Serbia. The event will cover six economies of the Western Balkans, namely Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. The primary objective is to foster private investments in the region by guiding micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) on accessing EU-backed financing and advisory support. It will inform potential public-private partnership (PPP) partners about collaboration opportunities under the WBIF, particularly for key energy sector investments. Additionally, it will facilitate knowledge exchange between local and EU businesses, public authorities, and the European Commission on policies and business challenges while promoting Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Finance (B2F) matchmaking and knowledge-sharing.
