Project cooperation
Developing a reliability-based design method for CO2 pipelines
Conduct full-scale running ductile fracture tests to support development of a reliability-based basis for CO2 pipeline design.
Research and Development Institution
CanadaC-FER is based in the heart of Canada's oil and gas industry in Alberta. C-FER provides engineering and large-scale testing services to help companies advance safety, efficiency and environmental performance. C-FER's two large-scale testing laboratories house a variety of load frames, pressure vessels, flow loops and extreme environments chambers that can simulate virtually any operating environment including testing in hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide and CO2 environments at full-scale. C-FER's engineers and technologists work with industry clients to custom design testing procedures and engineering analysis approaches to suit their specific needs. C-FER also organizes join industry projects to address broader industry challenges with combinations of analysis, risk assessment and full-scale testing. While the oil and gas industry is our traditional market, we have worked with companies working in geothermal, hydrogen , CO2, defence, forestry, aerospace and nuclear.
