Andrea Bonci received the Master of Science degree in Electronic and Automation Engineering and the Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligent Systems from the University of Ancona, Italy. He was Assistant Professor in automatic control and head the Automation Laboratory with the Department of Information Engineering at Polytechnic University of Marche (UNIVPM). Currently he holds the position of Associate Professor in Automation. His professional background combines automatic control and industrial automation with expertise in robotics, AI and ICT systems. The key research areas are Systems and Control Engineering, robotics, mechatronics, optimization. In the industrial field, his focus is on Industry 4.0/5.0, CPS, AI, Predictive Maintenance, and logistics/inventory optimization. Industrial applications was done in automation, AI, robotics, mechatronics, KPI for intelligent manufacturing. Lastly, expertise in autonomous systems includes modeling/control of autonomous vehicles (autonomous cars, UAV/UGV), intelligent robotics, and sensor fusion. Since 2019, he served as PI for UNIVPM on 2 EU projects: "EDIH4Marche" and "ENCORE.", 8+ National projects. He is invorntor of 4 patents and is an expert evaluator of EU projects.
