The Transport Research Arena (TRA) is the European Commission’s biennial flagship research and innovation event for transport in Europe and for the first time will be held in RDS Dublin from the 15-18th April 2024. Over 4000 delegates consisting of European Commission representatives, policy makers, academic researchers, research providers and transport industry representatives from across Europe will attend to discuss the latest in research and innovation in the transport sector. TRA will also be a showcase for the best in European innovation and technology development in the mobility space and will cover all aspects of transportation and mobility including aviation, maritime, automotive, rail, urban mobility, as well as cross-cutting topics such as, logistics, new mobility technologies, electromobility, energy for transport and sustainability of the transport system. An intrinsic part of TRA 2024 will be the exhibition and technology showcase which will include the European Commission, the Transport related technology platforms and partnerships, large industry and SME’s actively innovating in the mobility space. The event this year will also include an Innovation Zone for small companies and startups to display their latest innovations, but also for Horizon Europe projects to present the outcome of their work to date. The event will also have extensive outside demonstrations and technical visits to transport relevant sites across Dublin and the wider region.
