We Fed the Hunters Lentils - and Lived to Tell the Tale
About
1. Challenges:
Reaching and engaging conservative audiences online remains the toughest part — they’re less active digitally and skeptical of “vegetarian” ideas. Making plant-based recipes genuinely delicious and familiar enough to win them over also takes extra testing and creativity. Expanding visibility beyond the local community to a broader audience requires consistent digital storytelling that feels authentic, not preachy.
2. With more TASTE support:
We could strengthen our digital outreach — create multilingual, shareable content with stronger visual storytelling, partner with influencers from similar rural cultures, and test campaigns across Europe. Additional support would help us expand the concept to countries like Italy or Slovenia, where traditional food culture faces the same sustainability challenges, proving this approach works cross-culturally.
