Bonded Warehouse in Italy

MWM has several spaces that have been authorised for use as Bonded warehouses (almost all the dry, refrigerated and temperature-controlled warehouse spaces and the open yard space in front of our office building). The duty-suspension arrangement allows goods from non-EU countries to be brought into MWM warehouses, thereby postponing the payment of customs fees (duties and VAT) until such time as they are moved out of storage, including the withdrawal of part of the original deposit.

Bonded warehousing allows you to:

carry out shipment back to the foreign country of origin of the goods deposited at any time, or proceed with their sale in this country; thus permitting you to choose the most advantageous moment from the point of view of profit;

make purchases at the time when the offering on the external market is most favourable and sell when demand on the domestic or external market is most advantageous;

increase your supply of goods without having to pay customs duties in advance of the moment in time when your goods will actually be released for sale.

The advantages and benefits of the Bonded warehousing for economic operators are:

the payment of customs duties, in the case of definitive import, may be postponed until such time as the goods depart from storage; the goods may be sent back to a country within the EU or outside the EU without the payment of any duties or VAT; the goods may be “released for free circulation” within the EU (payment of duties only), or shipped to an EU customer who will import it permanently by paying the VAT imposed in the country of destination the goods may be resold “to a foreign state” net of duties and VAT.
