CL2-2026-01-DEMOCRACY-10 Adult Education focus

The project will develop and test a European model for digital and media literacy in adult education, focusing on combating disinformation and strengthening critical engagement in digital environments. It combines modular training with real-world “media action labs”, where participants analyse, verify, and respond to online content, both for local/national as well as EU wide socio-political contexts.

The research component examines how digital literacy influences democratic resilience, including trust, informed decision-making, and resistance to manipulation. Special focus is placed on vulnerable and low-engagement groups.

Through pilots in multiple countries (including accession countries), the project will deliver scalable tools, evidence-based methods, and policy recommendations to strengthen civic resilience across Europe. It will also produce methods and tools for the non-formal and Adult Education sector to successfully incorporate the findings into their teaching and learning environments.
