BUSINESS-02 | Design value, sustainability and evidence for investment in NEB neighbourhood projects

ACEAA – Association for the Study and Innovation in Architecture – is a New European Bauhaus Community Partner based in Spain and is seeking to join a consortium preparing a proposal for HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-BUSINESS-02 – Understanding capital market dynamics for increased investment in New European Bauhaus projects in neighbourhoods.

ACEAA can contribute complementary architectural, sustainability and design expertise to consortia led by partners specialising in finance, investment, real-estate economics and policy.

We can contribute to tasks related to:

• architectural and spatial quality assessment;

• sustainability and nature-positive design;

• biodiversity and ecological value;

• social, cultural and experiential dimensions of neighbourhood projects;

• qualitative indicators related to inclusion, beauty and environmental quality;

• case-study analysis and design-based evidence;

• stakeholder engagement and co-creation;

• communication of non-financial value to investors and decision-makers;

• NEB-oriented evaluation frameworks;

• dissemination and public engagement.

ACEAA is particularly interested in how the broader value generated by NEB projects — including spatial quality, ecological performance, social inclusion and cultural relevance — can be made visible and translated into forms of evidence that complement economic and financial analysis.

We are interested in contributing as a project partner and Task Leader in areas related to design evaluation, sustainability, stakeholder engagement, case studies and communication of NEB value.

We seek collaboration with universities, financial institutions, investors, municipalities, real-estate actors, research organisations and policy partners.
