BUSINESS-01 | Spatial design and social infrastructure for inclusive neighbourhoods

ACEAA – Association for the Study and Innovation in Architecture – is a New European Bauhaus Community Partner based in Spain and is seeking to join a consortium preparing a proposal for HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-BUSINESS-01 – Structurally addressing homelessness through coordinated social infrastructure and services in neighbourhoods.

ACEAA can contribute complementary architectural and spatial expertise to interdisciplinary consortia led by organisations with strong experience in homelessness, housing, social services and neighbourhood support systems.

We can contribute to tasks related to:

• spatial design of social infrastructure;

• relationships between housing, services and public space;

• inclusive public and semi-public environments;

• participatory and co-design methodologies;

• mapping neighbourhood resources and spatial inequalities;

• accessibility, dignity and quality of spatial experience;

• design-led research and prototyping;

• stakeholder engagement and co-creation;

• integration of NEB values into social infrastructure;

• communication, dissemination and public engagement.

ACEAA is particularly interested in how spatial design can support the integration of fragmented services and contribute to more accessible, welcoming and inclusive neighbourhood environments.

We are interested in contributing as a project partner and Task Leader in areas related to spatial design, co-creation, neighbourhood integration, stakeholder engagement and NEB-oriented design research.

We seek collaboration with municipalities, housing providers, NGOs, social-service organisations, universities and other partners with direct expertise in homelessness and social infrastructure.
