REGEN-02 | Sustainable repair, material care and regenerative approaches to existing buildings
PhD Architect. Adjunct University Lecturer at ACEAA Space, Art ,and Action
About
ACEAA – Association for the Study and Innovation in Architecture – is a New European Bauhaus Community Partner based in Spain and is seeking to join a consortium preparing a proposal for HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-REGEN-02 – Advancing sustainable maintenance and repair measures for existing buildings.
Our expertise lies at the intersection of architecture, sustainable construction, adaptive reuse, material care, bio-based materials and long-term building stewardship.
We can contribute to tasks related to:
-
architectural strategies for maintenance and repair;
-
adaptive reuse and life-extension of existing buildings;
-
low-impact and bio-based materials;
-
material care and resource-conscious design;
-
vernacular and traditional construction knowledge;
-
architectural assessment and design scenarios;
-
participatory approaches involving users and communities;
-
design-led research on maintenance and repair practices;
-
communication, dissemination and knowledge transfer;
-
integration of NEB values into repair strategies.
ACEAA is particularly interested in understanding maintenance and repair not only as technical operations, but as part of a broader culture of care, extending the life of buildings, materials and spatial relationships while reducing environmental impacts.
We are interested in contributing as a project partner and Task Leader, working with universities, building owners, municipalities, architects, engineers, material researchers, heritage specialists and construction-sector partners.
