REGEN-03 | Vertical biodiversity, multispecies design and regenerative spatial strategies

PhD Architect. Adjunct University Lecturer at ACEAA Space, Art ,and Action

About

ACEAA – Association for the Study and Innovation in Architecture – is a New European Bauhaus Community Partner based in Spain and is seeking to join a consortium preparing a proposal for HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-REGEN-03 – Innovative solutions for the sustainable and beautiful use of vertical space.

Our expertise lies at the intersection of architecture, biodiversity, multispecies design, ecological interfaces, biodesign and regenerative approaches to the built environment.

We can contribute to tasks related to:

  • vertical biodiversity and habitat-oriented design;

  • multispecies and more-than-human architecture;

  • ecological façades, roofs and vertical interfaces;

  • nature-positive spatial strategies;

  • biodesign and bio-based approaches;

  • integration of ecological systems into architecture;

  • spatial relationships between buildings, people and non-human organisms;

  • experiential and aesthetic dimensions of vertical environments;

  • participatory and experimental design;

  • architectural demonstrators, communication and dissemination.

ACEAA is particularly interested in understanding vertical space not only as an additional architectural surface, but as a potential ecological and social interface supporting biodiversity, climate adaptation, spatial quality and new relationships between humans and living systems.

We are interested in contributing as a project partner and Task Leader, working with architects, engineers, municipalities, ecologists, material researchers, technology providers, cultural organisations and pilot-site owners.
