Population-based molecular epidemiology partner with access to patient cohorts and biospecimen collection for cancer and exposure research

Associate Professor at Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine

Lodz, Poland

About

We are a multidisciplinary team at Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine specialising in molecular epidemiology, exposure science and biomarker-based risk assessment.

Our key strengths:

  • access to well-characterised populations: cancer patients (including FFPE tissues), individuals with chronic diseases, occupationally exposed groups and general population cohorts

  • biological sampling and biobanking (blood, urine, FFPE) with clinical and exposure data linkage

  • molecular analyses: DNA/RNA methylation, gene expression (qPCR/dPCR), telomere length, oxidative stress markers

  • exposure assessment: environmental and occupational data integration (e.g. air pollution, water contaminants)

We offer strong added value to consortia through:

  • recruitment of patients and population groups,

  • high-quality biospecimens and data,

  • laboratory analyses including markers of exposure and effects

We are interested in projects on cancer, exposome, environmental and occupational health, biomarkers and early detection.
