Implementation Partner for Horizon Europe Health Cluster & Mission Cancer Projects

Sincan District Health Directorate (Ankara, Türkiye) is a local public health authority under the Turkish Ministry of Health with strong field access at district level.

We are interested in joining Horizon Europe Health Cluster and Mission Cancer projects as an implementation and pilot partner, contributing real-life public health and workplace settings for testing, validating and scaling evidence-based interventions.

Our expertise includes:

• Community-based and population-level prevention

• Non-communicable diseases (cardiovascular risk, diabetes, hypertension)

• Behavioural and lifestyle interventions

• Health education, health literacy and community outreach

• Monitoring, evaluation and implementation research

• Cancer prevention and early detection in workplace and community settings

In routine public health and occupational health practice, the Directorate implements organised cancer screening activities, including cervical cancer screening, breast cancer screening and colorectal cancer screening (faecal occult blood tests), both at community level and within organised industrial zones.

The district serves approximately 600,000 residents and hosts organised industrial zones with an active workforce of around 100,000 employees, offering strong opportunities for workplace-based cancer prevention, screening pilots and early detection pathways.

We are particularly interested in collaborations focusing on cancer prevention, early intervention, implementation research, stakeholder engagement and policy uptake, especially where research outcomes can be translated into routine public health and occupational health practice.
