Vascular Biology and Tumor Microenvironment Expertise for Translational Cancer Projects
Distinguished Researcher /Associate Professor/ Principal Investigator at University of Málaga - IBIMA.BIONAND Platform
Málaga, Spain
About
Our group offers strong expertise in tumor vasculature, endothelial cell heterogeneity and tumor microenvironment (TME) biology, with a clear translational and patient-oriented focus. We specialize in understanding how vasculature regulates tumor progression and metastatic dissemination.
We have extensive experience in advanced molecular and cellular biology, 2D/3D functional assays, in vivo cancer models, and state-of-the-art omics approaches, including single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics. A key strength of our group is the integration of multi-omics data with functional validation to identify novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers.
Our team has participated in several national and European-funded research projects, collaborating closely with clinical units and hospitals to access well-annotated patient samples (FFPE, fresh tissue, blood) and to ensure rapid translation of discoveries to clinical settings. We can also facilitate connections with clinical and academic partners and contribute to proposal design, work package leadership, and translational work packages
