About
MONU – Institute of Mosaic and Monumental Art (Czech Republic) is a non-profit platform working at the intersection of cultural heritage, material research, and urban public space.
We focus on the conservation, transfer, and reuse of large-scale 20th-century public artworks, especially mosaics integrated into architecture. Many of these works are currently endangered due to climate impacts and urban transformation.
Our approach combines:

hands-on restoration practice (including full transfer of artworks),

applied research in materials and durability,

integration of heritage into urban regeneration and public space.
