AI and Artificial Vision for Cultural Heritage protection

CTO at PANOimagen

Logroño, Spain

About

At PANOimagen, we are interested in participating in R&D proposals focused on the protection of cultural heritage through artificial vision technologies. We have developed a proof of concept for a remote detection system aimed at identifying woodworm (xylophagous insect) activity in historic altarpieces using computer vision techniques. We are seeking to further develop, validate, and scale this solution within a structured research framework.

In addition, we are open to collaborative projects that leverage artificial intelligence more broadly, including data science methodologies, deep learning-based computer vision, predictive analytics, and generative AI. Our objective is to contribute to innovative, scalable, and non-invasive solutions that enhance preventive conservation, structural monitoring, and decision-making processes in heritage preservation.
