About
Impact Hub Athens brings extensive experience in Horizon Europe large-scale consortia, with a strong track record across Horizon Missions and cross-cutting actions. We regularly act as Work Package leader for Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation and Stakeholder & Community Engagement, ensuring that research and innovation outcomes are effectively translated into societal uptake, policy relevance, and long-term impact. Our role typically sits at the interface between research & innovation and local authorities, civil society, and businesses, supporting projects in moving from technical development to real-world adoption.
In addition, Impact Hub Athens has solid expertise in the design, operation, and coordination of demonstration sites and Living Labs, acting both as demo site engagement partner and demo site lead. We operate and support urban, island, and rural demo sites, enabling pilots, testing, replication, and scaling of solutions through structured co-creation processes with municipalities, citizens, researchers, SMEs, and community stakeholders. Our demo site work focuses on embedding innovations in real-life contexts, addressing behavioural change, social acceptance, governance, and local capacity building as critical enablers of sustainability.
Our interests and expertise align strongly with Mission areas related to Restore our Ocean and Waters, 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities, A Soil Deal for Europe, and Adaptation to Climate Change, particularly in projects focused on Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), circular economy, climate resilience, and place-based transitions.
