About

IKK - Institute of Plastics and Circular Economy, located at Leibniz University Hannover has a broad experience in plastic processing, material testing and analysis.

Among other key expertises we have established a unique infrastructure for investigating the degradation mechanisms of plastics. Details can be found here: Project SkalAb

We think that with our expertise we can add great value to project consortia preparing proposals, where plastic degradation, plastic removal or microplastic formation are relevant.

Specifically, we can contribute:

  • extensive expertise in plastics processing

  • preparation of (micro) plastic sample materials

  • extensive expertise in plastics analysis

  • unique facilities for investigating degradation processes under realistic conditions in the laboratory

  • microplastic analysis based on different technical appoaches

We are looking forward to discussions about possible collaborations!
