The IKK - Institute for Plastics and Circular Economy at the Leibniz University Hannover analyses the entire life cycle of plastics in its research work. The focus here is on strategies for increasing resource efficiency and defossilising the plastics value chain. In this area, the focus is on material development, energy-efficient processing, the recycling of plastics and bioplastics as well as component manufacture and the accompanying sustainability assessment.
