The BioAlberti company is a family-run business that has been operating in the agricultural sector for four generations, which began in the 1930s with the purchase by the Alberti’s of a vast territory located in central Italy among the rolling Umbrian hills, in Poggio Aquilone, a small village from the 1200s. The passion for the land and the commitment to environmental sustainability have prompted the Alberti family to follow an organic path since 1998 as they are firmly convinced that choosing a healthy and organic diet is essential for people's health and well-being . That's why they decided to dedicate their business to this world and to offer genuine, sustainable and certified organic products. A choice implemented by Paola and Guido who started a new company production, inserting legumes, cereals and the olive tree as the main cultures, now shared by their children Andrea and Benedetta. It is a young and dynamic company where the young generation represents an important value for the future, dedicating itself to the search for the encounter between ancient customs and innovative procedures, aimed at enhancing the quality of an authentic product. Guiding these choices there has always been a great love for the earth, respect for its fertility and for the rhythms of nature, with a commitment to look after and safeguard it. In fact, the lands within the company are cultivated as in ancient times, in rotation, and fertilized with organic fertilizers from the small herd of Chianina cattle. What differentiates BioAlberti from other producers of legumes and cereals is the collaboration with the Agricultural University of Perugia, which has been going on for years, working together for the recovery of forgotten varieties that have slowly begun to produce again, such as the ancient Verna soft grains and Gentilrosso, Senatore Cappelli durum wheat, einkorn einkorn (the first cereal to come into the world, which fell into disuse due to its low yield), cicerchia, black chickpea and Mondo barley. A choice driven by the desire to return to the cultivations of the Umbrian peasant tradition, which have found a suitable soil and microclimate in those hills, giving products that retain a true and healthy taste. The range of BioAlberti products includes: legumes, cereals, flours, soups, extra virgin olive oil, pâtés and Senatore Cappelli durum wheat pasta.

About me

I am Andrea Alberti and I have been working for the family-run company for seven years, where I manage both the organic farm and the agritourism. This role has allowed me to significantly contribute to the growth and success of the family business. I studied Economics and Business at Roma Tre University, where I acquired a solid theoretical and practical basis in the economic field. After graduating, I had the opportunity to work in London for a newspaper, an experience that enriched me both professionally and personally. The combination of the skills acquired during my studies and the international experience has allowed me to successfully face the daily challenges of managing a farm and an agritourism, helping our family business grow and prosper.
