Farm testing partner for cost-effective pollinator monitoring (Area A)

Gazda Kontroll is a Hungarian agricultural advisory and innovation company working with more than 300 farms. We want to join a consortium under Area A (pollinators) as the partner that tests monitoring methods on working farms. We have a worked-out concept for our contribution.

What we offer

• Farm monitoring sites. We recruit suitable farms and advisers to test sampling workflows under normal management conditions. Our EIP-AGRI work on phacelia and ecosystem services gives us direct experience with pollinator habitats on farms.

• Practical costs and usability. We record field time, access, skills, costs and ease of use. Specialist partners assess species data and technical performance.

• Training and adoption. We turn validated monitoring instructions into training and feedback for farmers and advisers. Competent authorities lead the policy application.

• Farm data. We have access to parcel-level and farm-level agronomic and environmental data. This helps place monitoring results in their farming context.

Envisioned role
Hungarian agricultural demonstration and end-user validation partner. Contributor on practical monitoring and adviser training.

Partners we are looking for
Experts in pollinator taxonomy, genomics and DNA reference libraries.

Track record
GK coordinates a Horizon Europe thematic knowledge hub on protein crops, which has been selected for funding. We have worked in AEDIH on testing digital tools with Hungarian farms.
