European cooperation on inclusive immersive learning and self-reliance

Changefied is seeking European partners for research and innovation projects focused on inclusive immersive learning, self-reliance, well-being and social participation.

Our mission is to strengthen the self-reliance of neurodivergent people by making everyday situations safe, interactive and repeatable to practise. We develop Virtual Empowerment, a modular 6DoF VR learning platform that allows users to actively move, make decisions, perform tasks and learn from mistakes without real-world consequences.

The first proven module is Virtual Public Transport. It helps neurodivergent young people and others who need additional support practise the skills required to travel by public transport. The module is implemented by schools, care organisations, public authorities and mobility partners in the Netherlands.

We are interested in European projects that explore how immersive technology can support:

• self-reliance and independent living;

• well-being, confidence and social participation;

• inclusive education and lifelong learning;

• accessible and neuro-inclusive virtual environments;

• mobility, work, social interaction and everyday skills;

• responsible impact measurement and real-world validation;

• interoperability and open XR ecosystems.

Changefied can contribute an existing 6DoF platform, neuro-inclusive design expertise, practical implementation experience and access to education, care and mobility settings. We can also contribute use cases for co-creation, testing, demonstration and validation.

We are looking for universities, research institutions, public authorities, schools, care organisations, mobility partners, accessibility experts and XR technology providers. We are particularly interested in joining or developing Horizon Europe consortia in which Changefied can act as a technology, use-case, implementation or validation partner.

Our aim is to combine research, technology and practical implementation to create immersive learning solutions that help people participate more independently in everyday life.
