About
Sabancı University is interested in participating as the consortium coordinator and leading the overall scientific and technical integration of the project. Our organisation proposes to develop advanced functional materials, interfaces and cell architectures for safer, sustainable and cost-effective next-generation batteries. We will contribute novel material-processing and coating techniques and optimise their integration into multilayer electrodes and electrolyte systems. Our activities will include physicochemical and electrochemical characterisation, cell fabrication and validation, and investigation of performance, safety and degradation mechanisms. We will also support sustainability-by-design and recycling-oriented development, including the evaluation of material recovery and reuse strategies. As coordinator, Sabancı University will ensure effective collaboration among materials developers, cell manufacturers, modelling specialists, recyclers and end users, while overseeing project implementation, reporting, dissemination and exploitation activities.
