About
Sabancı University is a research-intensive university located in Istanbul, Türkiye, with a multidisciplinary structure that promotes collaboration across materials science, nanotechnology, chemistry, physics, data science and engineering. Its research teams have expertise in advanced functional materials, energy-storage and conversion technologies, electrode and electrolyte development, interface engineering, novel materials-processing and coating techniques, modelling, and comprehensive structural, chemical and electrochemical characterisation.
In the battery field, Sabancı University works on lithium-based and emerging battery chemistries, nanostructured electrodes, solid and hybrid electrolytes, silicon–carbon anodes, low-critical-raw-material cathodes, and safer and more sustainable cell concepts. Its capabilities include materials synthesis, laboratory-scale electrode and cell fabrication, electrochemical testing, impedance analysis, investigation of degradation mechanisms, and assessment of material safety, sustainability and recyclability. Sabancı University is interested in joining European research and innovation consortia as a scientific and technical partner and can contribute to advanced-material development, cell-component integration, laboratory-scale validation, sustainability-by-design, dissemination and project coordination.
