About

NESSTEC proposes to contribute as an electrode development, cell prototyping and electrochemical validation partner for next-generation battery concepts. We can integrate innovative active materials, functional additives and electrolytes into optimised electrodes using conventional, roll-to-roll and screen-printing processes. The developed materials can be evaluated from coin-cell screening to multi-layer pouch cells in the 1–10 Ah range. We will perform formation, cycling, EIS, rate-capability, safety and lifetime testing and benchmark the results against relevant state-of-the-art technologies. We will also provide feedback on manufacturability, scalability, material efficiency and cell-design optimisation, supporting validation towards TRL 4–5. Our capabilities can support low-cost Li-ion/Na-ion concepts, high-performance mobility batteries or advanced stationary-storage chemistries, depending on the consortium’s selected area.
