About
We can contribute to the design, synthesis and characterization of innovative electrode materials and architectures for emerging battery technologies, with particular emphasis on sodium-ion, lithium-sulfur and other post-lithium-ion systems (i.e. Zn ion batteries). Our activities would include the development of advanced carbonaceous, inorganic and organic redox-active materials, together with the investigation of structure-property-performance relationships at the electrode and cell levels. We would perform comprehensive physicochemical and electrochemical characterization to identify degradation mechanisms, charge-storage mechanisms and performance-limiting factors, and to guide iterative materials optimization.
