Partner for HORIZON-CL5-2026-07-D1-03 – Socio-economic modelling of climate change and cost of inaction (non-coordinator)

Prometeia offers an advanced Integrated Assessment Model (IAM) and macro-econometric tools to quantify the economic, sectoral and distributional impacts of climate change, mitigation and adaptation policies. We are looking to join a consortium for D1-03 as WP/task leader for the socio-economic modelling and scenario work, not as coordinator.

Description – We offer

·         A proprietary climate–economy IAM combining a multi-country OLG macro model, a CGE module for trade and industry, and a climate module calibrated on NGFS- and Paris-consistent scenarios.

·         Quantification of the costs of inaction and comparison with the costs of ambitious mitigation and adaptation, including macro and sectoral impacts, public finance effects, and distributional and intergenerational outcomes.

·         Integration of physical risk (through a high-resolution spatial damage tool) and transition risk (carbon pricing, regulation, technology adoption).

·         Experience in policy impact assessment and climate scenario design for ministries, European institutions, central banks and financial institutions.

Description – We are looking for

·         A university, research institute or public authority willing to coordinate a proposal for HORIZON-CL5-2026-07-D1-03.

·         Partners providing complementary expertise in climate and Earth-system science and sectoral impact models (e.g. agriculture, health, biodiversity).

·         SSH partners covering governance, social sciences and policy uptake.

Preferred role

Prometeia wishes to participate as a core scientific partner, acting as Work Package leader for “Integrated economic assessment and scenarios”, or task leader for quantitative modelling and impact assessment. We do not seek the overall project coordinator role.
