1 March 2026 - 30 April 2026
GATE5.0 Matchmaking: Agri-Tech Community building
Registration starts on 23 Feb 2026
How does the GATE5.0 Matchmaking process work?
The GATE5.0 matchmaking process is designed to connect Agrifood SMEs with Technology SMEs in order to develop joint project ideas and apply together to the GATE5.0 Open Call.
The objective is to match a clearly defined agrifood challenge with an appropriate digital solution and transform that collaboration into a funded innovation project.
The process takes place through the B2Match platform during March and April 2026 and follows these steps:
1. Register and create your profile
After registering, participants create their profiles on the platform:
-
Agrifood SMEs describe the specific challenge they want to address, including context and expected outcomes.
-
Technology SMEs present their digital services and technological capabilities (AI, IoT, Robotics, UAV, data analytics, decision-support systems, etc.) and explain how these could respond to agrifood needs.
2. Identify potential partners and schedule meetings
-
Participants browse profiles to identify complementarities and send meeting requests through the platform.
-
Bilateral meetings (15β20 minutes) allow both sides to assess alignment, discuss feasibility and explore a potential joint project idea.
3. Attend an online information session
Three online sessions will provide guidance on:
-
The GATE5.0 project objectives
-
The Open Call conditions (who can apply and funding scheme)
-
How the matchmaking process works
-
How to prepare and submit a proposal
π
Session dates:
10 March 2026
24 March 2026
7 April 2026
4. Build your consortium and apply
The final goal is to form a consortium composed of at least one Agrifood SME and one Technology SME and jointly submit a proposal to the GATE5.0 Open Call.
Selected consortia may receive up to β¬118,500 per consortium, including direct financial support, capacity building and participation in a structured Acceleration Programme to support solution development and validation.
