1 March 2026 - 30 April 2026
GATE5.0 Matchmaking: Agri-Tech Community building
Registration open until 30 Apr 2026
How does the GATE5.0 Matchmaking process work?
The GATE5.0 matchmaking process is designed to connect Agrifood SMEs with Technology SMEs in order to develop joint project ideas and apply together to the GATE5.0 Open Call.
The objective is to match a clearly defined agrifood challenge with an appropriate digital solution and transform that collaboration into a funded innovation project.
The process takes place through the B2Match platform during March and April 2026 and follows these steps:
1. Register and create your profile
Participants first complete a basic registration on the B2Match platform.
Once registered, they proceed to the “Challenges & Solutions Hub”, where they publish their contribution to the community:
-
Agrifood SMEs share a clearly defined challenge, outlining the problem, context and expected outcomes.
-
Technology SMEs present their solution offer, detailing their technological capabilities (AI, IoT, Robotics, UAV, data analytics, decision-support systems, etc.) and how these can respond to agrifood needs.
🔎 Profiles will be validated once the challenge or solution is properly published in the Hub.
Only validated participants will be visible for meetings and collaboration requests.
2. Identify potential partners and schedule meetings
-
Participants browse published challenges and solutions to identify complementarities and send meeting requests through the platform.
-
Bilateral meetings allow both sides to assess alignment, discuss feasibility and explore a potential joint project idea.
3. Build your consortium and apply
The final goal is to form a consortium composed of at least one Agrifood SME and one Technology SME and jointly submit a proposal to the GATE5.0 Open Call.
Selected consortia may receive up to €118,500 per consortium, including direct financial support, capacity building and participation in a structured Acceleration Programme to support solution development and validation.
