π How to Apply
To submit a proposal under the GATE5.0 Open Call, applicants must follow these mandatory steps:
Step 1 β Build an Eligible Consortium (Mandatory)
Form a joint consortium composed of at least:

1 Agrifood SME
-
1 Technology SME
Individual applications are not eligible.
Participation in the GATE5.0 Matchmaking process is strongly recommended to identify suitable partners and develop a joint solution aligned with sector challenges.
Step 2 β Complete the Application Form
Access and complete the official GATE5.0 Application Form in consortium.
The structure of the form is fully aligned with the evaluation criteria defined in the Call to ensure transparency, objectivity and traceability in the assessment process.

A Word version of the application form is also available to support offline preparation and internal coordination. Applicants can work locally and later transfer the information into the online submission form.
Step 3 β Submit Before the Deadline
Applications must be submitted electronically before 30 April 2026.
Late submissions will not be considered.
Following the closure of the call, the evaluation process will take place during May and June 2026.
Selected projects will be officially notified in July 2026. The formalisation of participation will be carried out through the signing of the corresponding Sub-grant Agreement.

Sub-Grant Agreement (template)
Draft contract that selected consortia will be required to sign. It defines the financial support conditions, payment schedule, reporting obligations, eligibility of costs, monitoring requirements, and legal responsibilities under the FSTP scheme. -

Structured summaries of the priority challenges identified in each participating region. These documents outline sector needs, technological gaps, and thematic priorities to guide the development of relevant and impact-driven proposals. -
Workshop Reports and Use Case Insights
Consolidated outcomes from cross-regional workshops and stakeholder consultations. They include validated challenges, innovation opportunities, and practical use case references to support solution design and alignment with real market needs.
