About
Our team has extensive expertise in clinical and translational dermatology, with particular strengths in pediatric dermatology, inflammatory skin diseases, allergology and immunodermatology. We conduct prospective and retrospective clinical studies, observational research and interdisciplinary projects aimed at translating scientific discoveries into routine clinical practice.
We specialize in non-invasive skin imaging, including dermoscopy and the implementation of Line-field Confocal Optical Coherence Tomography (LC-OCT) for the diagnosis and monitoring of skin diseases. Our research focuses on developing innovative diagnostic approaches by combining advanced imaging technologies with artificial intelligence, biomarker research and precision medicine.
The Department has access to well-characterized pediatric and adult patient cohorts, enabling patient recruitment, clinical phenotyping, longitudinal follow-up and validation of novel diagnostic and therapeutic solutions. We have experience in multidisciplinary collaborations involving clinicians, biomedical engineers, data scientists, microbiologists and molecular researchers.
We are interested in building international partnerships focused on AI-supported medical imaging, digital health, biomedical optics, medical device development and translational research that can improve diagnosis, treatment monitoring and personalized care for patients with inflammatory skin diseases.
