About

I can contribute expertise in the development, analysis and application of natural and synthetic flavour and fragrance materials, sustainable cosmetic ingredients, household chemicals and bio-based products. My work bridges fundamental research, advanced chemical analysis and market-oriented product development.

I offer capabilities in:

  • isolation, synthesis and characterisation of volatile and non-volatile natural products;

  • analytical pyrolysis;

  • valorisation of essential oils, plant extracts, waxes, resinoids and other biomass-derived materials;

  • organic, chemoenzymatic and flow-chemistry synthesis;

  • fragrance formulation, sensory evaluation and olfactometric analysis;

  • development of sustainable cosmetics, personal-care products and household formulations;

  • investigation of antimicrobial and other biological activities;

  • non-animal approaches to toxicity and safety assessment;

  • advanced analytical method development and complex-mixture characterisation, including pyrolysis;

  • evaluation of ingredient performance on skin and hair;

  • R&D management, intellectual property, technology transfer and commercialisation.

Within a POLNORIS consortium, I can lead or support work packages covering analytical characterisation, sustainable ingredient development, formulation, biological and safety evaluation, prototype validation, and pathways from laboratory research to market application. I am particularly interested in projects addressing green transition, circular use of biological resources, safer chemicals, waste-stream valorisation and sustainable consumer products.

Facilities supporting comprehensive chemical, olfactory, biological and application-oriented studies of fragrances, cosmetics, natural ingredients and household products: advanced research infrastructure, including GC×GC–MS/MS, GC×GC–MS–O, pyGCxGC-MS/MS, LC–MS/MS, preparative HPLC–MS, a flow chemistry reactor, confocal Raman microscope, and skin and hair imaging systems.
