Advanced Functional Materials for Circular Energy Technologies

The Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology are looking for research and industrial partners from Norway and Iceland to prepare collaborative proposals under the POLNORIS programme.

We are interested in developing advanced functional materials supporting sustainable energy systems, circular economy and low-carbon industrial technologies.

Our research combines chemistry, materials science and chemical engineering to design innovative materials with improved performance, durability and environmental sustainability. We are particularly interested in multidisciplinary projects connecting material development with industrial implementation.

Potential research topics include:

• advanced polymeric and composite materials,

• functional coatings and barrier materials,

• sustainable and recyclable materials,

• materials for battery safety,

• materials for photovoltaic recycling,

• corrosion-resistant materials,

• thermal energy storage materials,

• ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents,

• material characterisation and performance evaluation,

• process development and scale-up.

Our team has extensive experience in physicochemical characterisation, thermodynamics, phase equilibria, corrosion studies, recycling technologies, advanced solvents, process engineering and industrial collaboration.

We are seeking partners with expertise in:
