About

MYRA Technologies AB – Technology Partner for Portable Point-of-Care Diagnostics and Personalised Healthcare

About us
MYRA Technologies AB is a Swedish deep-tech SME developing molecular biosensing technologies for next-generation diagnostics, continuous health monitoring and personalised healthcare. We want to join emerging or established Horizon Europe Cluster 1 – Health 2027 consortia that are developing portable, minimally invasive and patient-centred diagnostic technologies. We would bring advanced sensing capabilities to the shift from centralised laboratory testing towards accessible, decentralised and personalised molecular diagnostics.

Our technological expertise

  • Aptamer-based molecular biosensing: molecular recognition strategies and sensing interfaces for clinically relevant biomarkers.

  • Miniaturised diagnostics: integration of molecular biosensors into compact, portable diagnostic concepts.

  • Electrochemical sensing: sensing architectures and signal acquisition for molecular detection.

  • Low-power electronics: energy-efficient sensing, signal processing and electronic integration.

  • Sensor surface engineering: anti-fouling approaches and surface functionalisation for performance in biological environments.

  • Sensor data integration: acquisition and processing of sensing data for digital health and personalised monitoring platforms.

  • Prototype development: design, optimisation and experimental testing of biosensing components and integrated demonstrators.

Potential contributions to Horizon Europe consortia
MYRA can contribute to dedicated technical tasks or work packages on:

  • Molecular recognition and biomarker sensing for portable diagnostic devices.

  • Design and integration of aptamer-based and electrochemical biosensing components into point-of-care platforms.

  • Miniaturisation and optimisation of sensor systems for decentralised diagnostics.

  • Low-power electronic architectures and sensor readout systems.

  • Technical validation of prototypes, covering analytical performance, stability, sensitivity and reproducibility.

  • Integration of molecular measurements with digital health infrastructures and data-driven personalised healthcare.

  • Co-development of proof-of-concept demonstrators with clinical, academic and industrial partners.

Priority application areas
Portable and versatile point-of-care diagnostics; personalised and precision medicine; early disease detection and prevention; chronic disease management and remote patient monitoring; healthy ageing and preventive healthcare; decentralised molecular diagnostics and home-based testing; biomarker-guided clinical decision support; integration of biosensor data into AI-enabled healthcare systems.

Target Horizon Europe 2027 opportunities

  • HORIZON-HLTH-2027-02-IND-02-two-stage – Portable and versatile point-of-care diagnostics.

  • Other Health 2027 calls addressing innovative diagnostic technologies, personalised healthcare, biomarker-based monitoring and digital health integration.

Partnership sought
We are looking for universities, research institutes, hospitals, clinical research organisations, diagnostic technology developers, digital health companies and experienced Horizon Europe coordinators. We are especially interested in consortia that already have one or more of the following:

  • clinical expertise

  • patient cohorts

  • access to biological samples

  • established diagnostic validation facilities

Such consortia would gain a complementary technology partner specialising in molecular biosensing and sensor integration.

Preferred project role
We aim to join as a research and technology development partner, contributing to dedicated work packages or tasks on:

  • biosensor development and optimisation

  • point-of-care integration

  • prototype development and technical validation

  • low-power electronics and miniaturisation

  • integration of molecular measurements into personalised health monitoring systems

We welcome discussions with Health 2027 coordinators and consortium developers seeking innovative biosensing technologies for portable diagnostics and personalised healthcare.
