GRIGNOLINO D’ASTI DOC “BRIC D’LA RIVA”

This wine is a distinctive expression of Grignolino, deeply rooted in the tradition of Costigliole d’Asti yet marked by a style of its own. Made from grapes grown on sandy, clayey and calcareous soils, and coming from vines between 10 and 20 years of age trained in the traditional Piedmont Guyot system, it reflects both the character of the variety and the identity of our land. After careful selection and harvesting, the grapes are gently crushed and pressed, then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25–26°C for about five days, with submerged-cap maceration. The wine is then refined in stainless steel for at least six months, followed by a further two months in bottle. In the glass, it reveals a ruby red colour with delicate orange highlights. The nose recalls the unmistakable personality of the grape variety, with notes of plum, cherry and rose. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with savoury tannins that give the wine balance and character. With an alcohol content of 13%, it is especially enjoyable slightly chilled as an aperitif, or served at room temperature with simple dishes, cured meats and medium-aged cheeses.
