About
This wine stands among the finest expressions of our estate and of Barbera from Costigliole d’Asti. Made from 100% Barbera grapes grown on sandy, clayey, tufaceous and calcareous soils, it combines power, elegance and depth. After fermentation in stainless steel with submerged-cap maceration, it is aged for at least 24 months in large 3,000-litre French oak barrels from Allier. In the glass, it shows a deep garnet colour tending towards brick. The nose reveals refined notes of rose, eucalyptus, red berries and spice, while the palate is full, velvety and enveloping, with a long finish of blackberry, blueberry and almond. Best enjoyed with mature cheeses, cured meats and rich red meat dishes. Serve at 18–20°C and open at least one hour before serving.
