Vacuum Buoyancy, Persistent Flight & HAPS Platform Engineering

About
Vauxminster Aeronautics brings specialist expertise in developing vacuum-buoyancy aircraft and persistent atmospheric platforms.
Our core technology is a patented lightweight structural architecture that enables an aircraft to generate buoyancy using a vacuum rather than conventional lifting gases such as helium or hydrogen.
The architecture uses nested geodesic structures, radial structural elements and an external vacuum skin to withstand atmospheric pressure while minimising structural mass. The concept has undergone structural modelling and independent analysis with Cranfield University, and we are now progressing toward hardware, material and subsystem validation.
Our expertise and technology can contribute to collaborative projects involving:
-
vacuum-buoyancy and lighter-than-air aircraft;
-
High-Altitude Platform Systems (HAPS);
-
persistent atmospheric infrastructure;
-
lightweight aerospace structures;
-
structural optimisation and geodesic architectures;
-
solar-electric persistent flight;
-
integration of communications and sensing payloads;
-
5G/6G and NTN airborne platforms;
-
defence and dual-use persistent systems;
-
environmental monitoring and near-space applications; and
-
future zero-emission and heavy-lift aviation.
Vauxminster's planned demonstrator programme progresses from structural and subsystem testing toward a 12–15 m aircraft, initially undertaking tethered testing before progressing to solar-electric-powered flight and endurance testing.
For UK–Singapore collaborative projects, we can contribute our patented vacuum-buoyancy technology, aircraft architecture, and platform concept to complement Singapore capabilities in advanced manufacturing, composites, communications, electronics, sensing, autonomous systems, and aerospace engineering.
We are particularly interested in projects where vacuum buoyancy provides an enabling platform for another organisation's technology — for example, creating persistent airborne infrastructure for communications, sensing, surveillance or technology demonstration.
Vauxminster welcomes approaches from Singapore companies and research organisations looking for a novel aerospace platform or specialist vacuum-buoyancy capability as part of a joint R&D programme.
