I value most my family, my land, my horses, and my country – Latvia.

My organisation

The horse ranch Klajumi, founded in 2001 near Latvia’s eastern border in the Augšdaugava Nature Park, is a family-run farm specializing in equitourism and gastrotourism. Covering 125 hectares and home to 18 horses, it welcomes around 12,000 visitors annually for accommodation, catering, guided tours, horse riding, saunas, and nature trails. The farm also develops tourism marketing plans, an online system for events, virtual tours, a digital museum, interactive exhibitions, and an e-shop for souvenirs and gift cards. Guided by values of family, horses, nature, and Latvia, Klajumi has earned multiple awards, including the Green Certificate and the Latvian Heritage badge. By 2050, it aims to become a leading Baltic center for equestrian tourism and eco-culture, offering premium experiences such as therapeutic riding, educational programs, slow tourism, and VR/AR digital experiences, all rooted in authenticity, local culture, and storytelling. Its current strategy focuses on sustainability, high animal welfare standards, preserving history and values, and building partnerships for international recognition.
