About

CIASS is an AI-enabled cascading-risk and scenario modelling approach designed to support decision-making in complex, interdependent systems. It represents a large set of events and services as a network of mutual influences, capturing how disruptions can trigger domino effects across infrastructure, organizations and territories.

Starting from one or more triggering incidents, CIASS simulates scenario propagation in real time across a large set of interdependent events, estimating how probabilities and impacts evolve as conditions change. This enables early detection of weak signals, identification of critical dependencies and prioritization of the most influential events driving risk escalation.

CIASS also supports decision exploration: it can propose mitigation measures (e.g., securing key resources, activating contingency protocols, reallocating response assets) and compare alternative strategies to help minimize overall impact and recovery time.
