Located in the Colli Tortonesi appellation, in Piedmont, at 220 meters above sea level, this wine originates from south-west facing vineyards planted on calcareous-clayey soils. The site is geologically identified as the “Mombisaggio formation,” composed of marly and clayey limestones, exceptionally rich in marine fossils.

The presence of marine fossils and shell fragments within these limestones and marls reflects an ancient marine geological profile which, once evolved into soil, directly contributes to the wine’s pronounced minerality and salinity, as well as to the aromatic and sensory complexity typical of the Colli Tortonesi’s leading varieties, including Timorasso. The distinctive white color of the soil, resulting from the complete oxidation of organic matter, enhances light reflection and supports aromatic intensity and structural precision.Vines are trained using the Guyot system, with a planting density of 4,500 vines per hectare. Vineyard management excludes the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or systemic products. Harvesting is carried out manually in the second half of September to ensure optimal ripeness and careful grape selection.

In the winery, grapes are destemmed and undergo a 48-hour skin maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After racking, alcoholic fermentation continues in stainless steel, conducted spontaneously by indigenous yeasts. No sulfites are added at any stage. The wine is neither fined nor filtered, preserving its full texture and authenticity.

Ageing takes place for 12 months in stainless steel tanks, followed by an additional 3 months in bottle prior to release. In the glass, it shows a deep straw yellow color with golden highlights. The nose reveals white flowers and acacia blossom, supported by citrus notes and a subtle honeyed nuance. On the palate, it is structured and persistent, with marked minerality and salinity, delivering a precise, terroir-driven profile
