About Me
I am a conservation scientist and academic dedicated to advancing biodiversity conservation through interdisciplinary research, capacity building, and international collaboration. My work integrates ecological and social science approaches to understand the complex relationships between people and nature, with a particular focus on human–wildlife coexistence, protected area management, conservation governance, and sustainable livelihoods in Africa.
Currently, I serve as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Dodoma, where I teach, supervise postgraduate students, lead collaborative research, and contribute to academic leadership. My research has resulted in more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific publications in internationally recognised journals and has been recognised through the Tanzania Ministry of Education, Science and Technology's Research Excellence Award.
Having completed my MSc, PhD, and Postdoctoral training at NTNU in Norway, I have developed extensive experience working in multicultural and multidisciplinary research environments. I actively collaborate with universities, conservation organisations, government institutions, and international partners to generate scientific evidence that informs conservation policy and practice.
I am particularly interested in building long-term international research partnerships through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme. My goal is to develop innovative, interdisciplinary research that combines ecological science, social science, geospatial technologies, and advanced analytical methods to address biodiversity loss, strengthen climate resilience, and support sustainable conservation and development across Africa and beyond.
