About me

My research is deeply rooted in immunobiology, microbiology, and biotechnology, with a particular passion for understanding bacterial extracellular vesicles (EVs). I explore how these vesicles influence host-microbiome interactions, modulate our immune system, and how we can harness them to develop new therapeutic and preventive strategies.

I'm proud to lead significant research as a Principal Investigator, focusing on projects like the impact of undernutrition on the host microbiome through bacterial EVs, and exploring the immunomodulatory properties of L. plantarum EVs in allergy. I've also been involved in developing innovative solutions, holding granted patent for vaccines against Clostridioides difficile infections.

My work is regularly published in scientific journals, covering topics such as bacterial EVs, SARS-CoV-2 immunity, and immunomodulation. I've been fortunate to receive prestigious recognition, including an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship and the START Scholarship. Beyond academia, I also have entrepreneurial experience as a co-founder and COO of Micronose.

Ultimately, I am a scientist dedicated to advancing our understanding of microbial immunology and translating that knowledge into practical, impactful applications.
