We are looking for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow in microbiology/immunology
Assistant Professor at Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy PAS

About
This project investigates the complex interplay between chemotherapy, the gut microbiome, and bacterial extracellular vesicles (BEVs). We hypothesize that anti-cancer drugs act as stressors, altering bacterial BEV production and content. Our research aims to understand if these 'stressed' BEVs then modulate the gut environment and influence chemotherapy efficacy. Through rigorous isolation, characterization, and functional testing, we seek to uncover the mechanisms by which BEVs impact cancer treatment, ultimately paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies to enhance patient outcomes and reduce side effects.
