Expertise in mixed methods research on inequalities in palliative and serious illness care
About
I offer expertise in mixed methods health services research focused on inequalities in palliative and serious illness care. My work combines large-scale linked healthcare data with qualitative interviews, ethnography and participatory co-design to understand and address disparities in symptom assessment and management (particularly pain), access to care, and patient and family experiences.
I have extensive experience in the development and evaluation of complex interventions and in implementation science approaches aimed at improving equity in healthcare systems. My research is conducted in close collaboration with NHS partners, community organisations and policymakers, ensuring that findings inform clinical practice and service delivery.
I am interested in contributing this expertise to interdisciplinary collaborations and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks, particularly projects focusing on health inequalities, culturally responsive care, symptom management, serious illness care and the implementation of equitable models of care.
