TEVIA – Digital Perimenopause Pathway for Health Workforce Crisis | Romanian SME

Founder & CEO, TEVIA | Women's Health & Digital Health at Plantevia Sanastore srl

Oradea, Romania

About

TEVIA is seeking partners for a UNITE Call 2 project addressing the Health Workforce Crisis through the development and validation of a specialised digital care pathway for perimenopause.

Women in perimenopause may present with multiple and changing symptoms and fragmented information across previous consultations, laboratory results, treatments, self-management interventions and changes in their menstrual cycle.

Healthcare professionals may therefore need to spend significant consultation time collecting, reconstructing and reviewing information that could potentially be structured before the consultation and followed longitudinally.

The proposed project would combine TEVIA’s perimenopause-specific assessment and follow-up framework with existing digital-health technologies that are sufficiently mature for further development, integration and real-world validation.

The project could develop and test a pathway supporting:

• structured collection of patient information before consultation;
• symptom, severity, cycle and relevant health-history assessment;
• longitudinal monitoring of symptoms and changes over time;
• structured clinician-facing case summaries;
• integration of relevant clinical and laboratory information where appropriate;
• identification and presentation of relevant changes between follow-ups;
• structured follow-up between consultations;
• coordination of information between patients, primary care and women’s health specialists;
• evidence retrieval and clinician-support functions while maintaining professional clinical control.

The objective would not be to replace clinical decision-making, but to improve the quality and continuity of information available to healthcare professionals, reduce repetitive information-gathering and follow-up tasks and enable more efficient use of specialised clinical expertise.

TEVIA can contribute:

• the perimenopause use case;
• structured symptom-assessment and follow-up logic;
• product and functional requirements;
• patient-facing workflow requirements;
• user and market insight;
• Romanian implementation capacity;
• commercialisation and post-project exploitation pathway.

We are looking for:

• a digital-health solution provider with an existing technology that can be adapted, integrated and validated in a real-world care pathway;
• a university or research organisation with expertise in women’s health, endocrinology, digital health, health-services research, clinical research or evaluation;
• a healthcare end-user such as a hospital, primary-care organisation, women’s health service, health-system innovation hub or clinical testbed able to support co-design and real-world piloting;
• partners from Scotland or Wales and other eligible UNITE regions to build and validate an interregional care pathway across different healthcare settings and assess its transferability between regions.

Potential technology capabilities of interest include patient and clinician platforms, workflow automation, structured health-data integration, longitudinal monitoring, remote follow-up, interoperability, consultation summarisation and clinician-support tools
