Agreka Build transforms waste wheat straw into WHEATEX, a circular, non-toxic thermal insulation. We’re decarbonising construction & supporting farmers!
Hello, I'm Antoinette Vandy (née Oni)—an award-winning architectural designer and CEO of AGREKA Build, where I lead the development of WHEATEX, a circular, bio-based insulation made entirely from waste wheat straw. With over a decade of experience in architecture and sustainability, my work focuses on regenerative design and material innovation.
I’ve collaborated with organisations such as LVMH and The Crown Estate, and have been recognised with honours including the LVMH Maison/Zero Prize for Regenerative Luxury and the Founder 50 Award. I hold degrees from The University of Manchester, Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London), and am also an alumna of Delft Technical University.
I’m passionate about decarbonising the construction industry, tackling fuel poverty, and shaping a healthier, more equitable built environment through climate-positive design.
