Bridging local knowledge and public policy for democratic transitions
About
IDRA is an independent research institute based in Spain, focused on democratizing access to key resources—housing, food, water, and energy—through applied research and advocacy.
We work closely with local organizations and public institutions across municipal, regional, and national levels. Our approach combines statistical and qualitative research with participatory methods to co-produce data, narratives, and policy tools.
We focus on housing justice and ecological transition as core challenges of our time. By linking grassroots knowledge with institutional processes, we support democratic governance and build public-community alliances for system change.
We are looking for partners in European consortia on urban resilience, social innovation, and territorial cohesion. IDRA brings strong territorial anchoring, methodological expertise, and a solid track record in advocacy and co-creation—key assets for transformative, place-based projects.
