Outreach Work package for HORIZON-CL2-2026-01-DEMOCRACY-05

Dezernat Zukunft and the EMPN can lead a work package on outreach, knowledge translation and structured exchange between research and policymaking. Our contribution would focus on the fiscal and economic dimensions of democratic equality, ensuring that meaningful democracy is not discussed only in institutional terms, but also in relation to economic governance and fiscal choices.

Through our network of think tanks across Member States (DE, FRA, NL, SWE, FI, AUS, IT, BE), we can organise dialogues with ministries, parliaments, public administrations and civil-society actors; gather substantive feedback on emerging findings; and ensure that democratic theory and economic analysis speak to one another. We could curate policy-facing outputs and translate research results into concise, actionable recommendations for policymakers at national and EU level.

The result would be a durable bridge between Horizon-funded research and the communities that shape fiscal and economic policy in practice, strengthening uptake, relevance and European added value across the consortium.
