Vulnerable groups and engagement with digital technology

Professor of Law at Royal Holloway University of London

London, United Kingdom

About

Prof G. ‘Hari’ Harindranath, Royal Holloway, University of London

My work focuses on responsible digital and AI, with a particular focus on how vulnerable groups, including labour migrants, engage with digital technologies and how labour migration systems are being digitally transformed. I have experience in interdisciplinary, policy-oriented research covering digital inclusion and the broader societal impacts of technology in migration contexts. I am particularly interested in collaborative projects that address digital tech, inequality and vulnerability as well as digital transformation for inclusive labour migration governance. I have intervention-oriented research experience with vulnerable groups, including labour migrants, and advocacy organisations in Brazil, Nepal and South Africa.
