About
The Asturias Territorial Innovation Centre works as a strategic collaborative space that focuses its activity on promoting innovative projects as a driving force for the revitalisation of rural areas. These initiatives seek to retain and attract population, while generating economic, social and cultural activity.
CIT is established as an innovation body operating independently and autonomously within READER, strengthening its capacity to promote experimentation, collaboration and the implementation of new development models in rural territories.
Through close relationships with local stakeholders, we identify the needs and initiatives present in each of the territories. In this way, we transform the acquired knowledge into innovative ideas, turning local interests into new development opportunities.
CIT Asturias is currently in a phase of expansion of European projects. Our interest covers a wide range of topics related with innovation, with a particular focus on programmes related to rural development.
